I can't stand not being about to take some time to craft.  The ideas are just bundling up in my head.  I just had to write them down us maybe I can give my mind a break.  I'm so happy other people are dedicated to posting regularly.  I'm living vicariously once again through the craft blogs I follow.  I hope to get working on this list soon, motherhood as been taking it's toll on me lately, but on the upside my Ella has decided that she loves using the potty!

So I'm about ready to spend the weekend with the MOPS steer
leaders to prepare for next year.  The theme for this coming year is Momology- The Art and Science of Mothering.  Here is the first draft of the centerpieces.  The paper on the bottom in the Periodic Table of Elements recreated of course with pretty font.  Are any of you apart of  MOPS?  What are your groups up too?

Ruffled Dress Apron

So here's a better (sorta) picture of the apron the I made for the girls and I.  I just realized the bottom ruffle is folded in under it's self, oh well.

Since I'm not a really great or even good sewer I didn't most of my sewing inside out and then flip it to the right side.  This apron I saw on 's blog inspired me.

I added the chest piece and made it an empire waist.  I also used a different technique for sewing the ruffles because time was crammed and I didn't read  how she did it (I should have and actually did after the fact).  But overall I think it's fun, I love the fabrics together.  Now I just have to decide when I'm actually going to use it.  It's prettier then must of my clothes and I don't want to ruin it!
