So, I had this grand idea that I would have a girlie sleepover party. I thought my daughter would love to have her two older cousins to join us.  Because I like to put crazy deadlines on myself, the night before they came over I decided I wanted to make them cute girlie aprons that looked like dresses.  So, having never made them before and without a pattern (just the idea in my head) I went to JoAnn's, bought fabric and went home to got to work.  I made one for each of the girls and for myself.
I'll post a better picture of the apron later.
We all walked to the Dollar Store and picked up some jewelry and nail polish (what else would we get for a girlie sleepover).  Well, we did look for princess crowns but they didn't have any.  So we want back home and I broke out my crafting supplies and we made crowns.  I think they turned out pretty well!  The picture of them on the other hand, well you try to take a picture of these three girls with my slow shooting camera and see what you get!

The next day we took a trip to the zoo.  I love having a membership and getting in for free! We had a great time, but we were ready for a child-free night after all that.  (special thanks go out to my mom for having Ella for an overnight and to my wonderful husband who joined in on the girlie festivities!)

Clock Makeover

Before

                                                                                After
So, I've had this clock for a very long time.  But it's just been hiding in my back room not being used.  So I decided it was time for a change.  I'm not totally happy with it but I'm done messing with it.  I didn't really want to spend much money on fixing it up so basically I just bought spray paint.  For the background I used a picture from an old calendar.  I would have like to find numbers for the face but I wasn't able to find anything I liked.  So I just embossed gold numbers.  Maybe one day when I come across some cool numbers I will work on it some more, but for now it's found a new home in my living room!

First Reupholstery Job

So I have been clearing up my crafts area and working on restoring a clock and I just couldn't take it anymore. My back was killing me. I was sitting in a stool with no back and it was to high for the table. So I decided that before I went any further I was going to finally do something with the waiting room chair my mother gave me. So I sanded it, restained it and reupholster it all today. I'm pretty happy with it. It is my very first time trying something like this. So check out my new, used chair (which by the way seems to be a good fit for my work space)!
What do you think?

No time

So lately the closest things to crafting I have done, it experimenting with making paper flowers with hymnal pages and looking at other people crafting blogs. I'm mostly just living vicariously through other peoples blog. I really want to craft but my house needs so much work done and it's been beautiful outside!
